Nomination and Election Procedure of the SCCi, Inc.

  1. The Nominations and Elections Committee shall be responsible for determining a valid slate of candidates for upcoming elected positions. The committee shall review the membership for individuals that desire to serve the SCC and solicit from those persons a written statement of their qualifications and platform for the position sought. The committee shall present the slate of candidates, along with their qualifications and platform, and ballots, to the membership by mail within 30 days prior to the tabulating of the vote. The committee shall be responsible for tabulating the results of the mail ballot. The committee shall notify the Secretary, in writing, of the election results. Election statistics including the total number of votes cast and the distribution of those cast are to be included in the election report. The ballots cast shall be turned over to the Secretary for the records. The chair of the nominating committee shall be a member of the Board not up for re-election. When the ballots are tabulated the candidates will be ranked in order by the number of votes received and the open positions shall be filled from the ordered list starting with the candidate who received the most votes.

  2. All ballots must make provision for write-in candidates.
