What’s the idea? Get a Kroger’s card and use it when you buy gas or groceries. Each time you use your card to buy anything from Kroger or a Kroger affiliated company, 5% of your purchase will be donated to the SCCi.
All you have to do is get a Kroger Gift Card from the SCCi. Each card costs $5, but $5 is already loaded onto the card for you to use, so you come out even. Just take your card to Kroger and add money to it. Then, pay for your regular purchases with your card. Add more money to your card periodically and continue using it to pay for groceries and gas. You can use it as long as you want, and each purchase you make with it will help the SCCi.
Just say that for a year you spend just $100 per week on gas and groceries at Kroger. The SCCi would get $260. If 50 of our members used a card every week, we’d raise $13,000 a year. If 100 of us use a card, we’d raise $26,000.
Do the math. This is an easy way to buy caves.
If you would like a card, mail a check for $5 made payable to the SCCi to:
P.O. Box 1474
Franklin, TN 37065
Here’s a link that has some good information about the program, but we get 5%, not 4% as the website states.
