The fifth Annual Members Meeting of the Southeastern Cave Conservancy was held on May 18, 1996 at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee. | Minutes | (M) | The minutes of the fourth Annaul Members Meeting were reviewed. The spelling of Bill Torode's name was corrected. Richard Blackburn moved that the minutes be approved as read. Kris Green seconded. Passed unanimously. |

| Chairman | Chair Bill Putnam reported the "Buy A Piece Of The Pit" campaign is still going. The article and classified ad in the NSS NEWS are helping to sell pieces. | |

| Fund Raising | John Van Swearingen reported the Sustaining Contribution program is bringing in about $47 a month. It is slow to attract participants. JV suggests it is time for a new SCC Tshirt. | |
| Nominations & Elections | Richard Blackburn reported there are seven nominations to fill the five available slots. Nominations close today. | |
| Neversink Pit | E.T. Davis reported on the erosion and damaged trees at the pit. The Alabama Chapter of the Nature Conservancy is willing to do a biological survey but needs an official request from the SCC. | |
| Glove Pit | Bill Putnam gave a summary of a report from Scott Shaw. Visitation at the pit is low, probably due to the nonexistent parking. | |
| Editor | Kenneth Huffines reported the newsletter is back on track. Issue #4 is out. Bill Putnam added that a non-profit bulk rate permit is being investigated. | |
