SCCI Sustaining Contribution Program
| Buying Caves for Cavers |
How? By becoming a Sustaining Member of the SCCi! The Conservancy needs a steady income to make mortgage payments on acquisitions like Lim Rock, Valhalla, Snail Shell Cave, Kennamer Cave, Fricks Cave, and the Fox Mountain Cave Preserve. Your monthly contribution of $5, $10, or more can be leveraged into more than $100,000 per year in cave purchases.
The Sustaining Membership program offers SCCi members and supporters a convenient way to make regular donations in monthly or quarterly installments billed to their credit or debit card. More than 300 SCCi members have already signed up as sustaining members by authorizing a monthly charge of $5 to $100 on their Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card. Contributions go directly into the SCCi Cave Acquisition Fund and are used buy caves. You can designate your contribution for specific projects, such as the Valhalla, Snail Shell, Wolf River, or Lim Rock purchases, or it can go into the Cave Acquisition Fund and be applied as needed to pay for cave purchases.
As we build up this program, we leverage its income with mortgage loans to purchase several new caves each year. It only takes 200 people willing to commit $5 per month to cave acquisition. That's about the cost of one lunch at a fast food restaurant.
Special premiums are available for Sustaining Members who contribute more than the minimum $5 per month. A monthly $10 contribution gets you special edition SCCi Logo T-Shirt, and contributions of $250 or more in a year are honored with an SCCi embroidered logo polo shirt and other premiums.
All credit card information is kept confidential under the supervision of SCCi Sustaining Membership manager Bill Stringfellow.. You can end your participation and stop all charges at any time by contacting Bill. Contributions can be authorized on a one-time basis, for a limited period (such as 1 year), or indefinitely until cancelled. They can be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually - whichever you prefer. Use the new Membership Form to sign up.
